that is not the issue. The issue is these blasted posts that claim that something that happen to work under certain circumstances are general solutions. How often have we seen "you do not need the MAX232(equivalent) I have tested my circuit and proven this" etc. Not to mention the threads "I changed my PC and now the 232 does not work, there is no way it can be the abscence of the MAX since I tested the circuit before. If someone want to post something that is outside the specs the least one could ask would be not to say "this will work for you" but "this may work for you". The issue is that so called testing is not a proof of diddelysquat Erik |
