#99104 - exactly
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi steve,
yes this is exactly what i was asking. The processor core that i am using takes between 1 to 4 clock cycles for every instruction. And i wanted some info about the condition that you have described above. DMA can perform its task only when the 8051 sits idle for some time. But it can still process some instructions untill it reaches an instruction that requires XRAM access. So my doubt was regarding this condition only. If any of you have any info please share. Thank you.

Best Regards,
