That sort of despicable behavior

I said 'seen' and 'efficient', I do not in any way condone it.

As a matter of fact, the reason I have seen it was being asked to circumvent it, which I, of course, refused. I do, however, not have any doubts that they found some crook that managed to circimvent it using a debugger and got $100 richer by defrauding the supplier of $1000.

Since I did not, in any way, want to be involved with thievery I did not investigate whether the "your drive will be erased" was an idle threat or a fact, in either case, it worked.

One of the most unfortunate things in the modern world is all the things honest people must suffer because of a few crooks. Do you remember when programs ran without 'dongles' do you remember when you could pump gas and pay afterwards, do you remember ....
