#147238 - my wrong path Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Due different reasons , i didnt learn C and i'm working only on assember. Right now i'm planning to switch to C. As Andy Neil says- thinking in C is differend and switching will be not easy.
My advise - plane for the future. First - think on C, second - train Yourself time to time in assembler - for interrupt routines for example. And learn default architecture, but dont forget - tomorrow other MCU with diffirent architecture can be more suitable for Your application and even for Your sourcecode. Other issue - select right "C"-compiler. Last week i tested these simple lines : const char mychar='A'; char *myptrchar; myptrchar=&mychar ; On arm-gcc this is ok, on IAR-MSP430 this is bad.I didnt find reason. And now for me question is - to delete or not to delete IAR from my disk. regards |
