Just because many Americans are dummies, doesn't mean it's the standard mode ... It may be getting to be more and more that way ... but I hope I die first. I agree it's a trend. <sigh>
A lot of folks use SMS abbreviations, too. It's the influence of modern "culture" and of advertising. "THRU" costs less on a sign than "THROUGH." RE |
