layout, is not so good. The length of data lines aren't exactly same, and they may not be exactly parallel.

Data rate is low. 50 bytes in 2 seconds. 2400 serial port baud.

Tried shortest decoupling on the chip, across the width.

FTDI guys have taken the layout and circuit, and I am waiting for a reply. Is there a possibility that the FTDI chip is not designed for such applications? That it should be used in less demanding situations ?
