#189940 - On Chip Debug *is* a very good idea indeed! Responding to: ???'s previous message |

It ["OCD" for "On-Chip Debug"] is commonly used. eg Atmel. Very many abbreviations & acronyms have multiple meanings in various contexts. Some even have multiple meanings in the same context; eg, "PC" used here could mean "Printed Circuit" or "Personal Computer"... That's why it is vitally important to spell-out what you mean by an abbreviation when you use it! Jim Granville said:
On chip debug is a good idea, you just need to choose the right path
Absolutely!! If you're going to use an IP core, then make sure to use one with "Debug" - and with support for that "Debug" in whatever tools you will use. |
