#100486 - No, no kids playing with the mains. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Dear Kai Klaas and Erik Malund, I've used this circuit in power electronics kits (study of Cycloconverters, inverters etc.) and it was used by engineering students. More over the kit was placed in a very safe chasis and its users had no business coming in contact with the internal circutary. As for coming closer to zero, Erik, the zener used with the comparator can be adjusted as per need... (and also TL08x is not best used as a comparator. The components used in the simulation circuit are not to be taken very seriously.) Further, I had a provision for a 'software offset adjustment' for zero crossover detection. The scheme has stood me in good stead. Regards. |
