#100842 - Port current Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The ports (on most 8051 uP's) can not source as much as they can sink. Try to connect the LED from port via resistor to 5V instead. Than low is "on " and
high is "off". How much you can sorce or sink is in the datasheet. Also read "the bible" you will get a lot of info there Chapter 1 - 80C51 Family Architecture: http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/v...ARCH_1.pdf Chapter 2 - 80C51 Family Programmer?s Guide and Instruction Set: http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/v...UIDE_1.pdf Chapter 3 - 80C51 Family Hardware Description: http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/acrobat/v...WARE_1.pdf Good luck /Anders |
