We have dozens of labs at work full of literally thousands of headless Sun servers with RS232 consoles running 9600 baud on Cat5 wire. Some spans exceed 30 meters. We only run TxD, RxD, and a single GND in the labs I've been involved with. This is probably out of spec of course... But it does work. Rob |
