... although the voltages between -3V.. 3V (?) are unspecified in RS232, the common practice is thatthe input threshold is the same as TTL, i.e. slightly above zero. Hence an unconnected input is as if it would be below -3V quite reliably. (another consequence is, that RS232 inputs can be driven by TTL outputs, just don't tell it to Erik and Kai :-) Another note, IMHO the '430 has less FLASH than the 420... Jan Waclawek |
