It's more than just a technique name - it is a well-established practice. Most decent compilers implement some sort of support for it, and rolling you own isn't hard. Although I never got into mega-bytes, I've done it on the Triscend (now Zylogic) - which has an external address bus of up to 32 bits...! Would that be obscene enough for you?? |
