#104831 - if anyone should be sorry, that would be
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Due to my lack of knowledge i didn't understand it so i have to be sorry.
if anyone should be sorry, that would be me. "tongue in cheek" does not cross language barriers very well. I do try to avoid it, but, stupid me, sometimes I slip.

Anyway,I am not good at analog so i wonder if placing the filter at the output would also be good.you said that you don't use any parallel resistor , but Kai says that it is necessary.I am confused !
I think ("professor" Kai will know) that the resistor is needed only in cases where layout and quality of ferrite and capacitor come together to form an undesirable combination. Were I to use a high quality coil instead of the cheap ferrite I guess the resistor would be necessary.

As to the placing of the filter at the output, for you who use a preregulator voltage the filter before tapping that does, of course have a purpose. However, why filter what you feed the regulator, I fail to see the purpose. Tbe filter at the output, however, removes the slight ripple produced by the regulator (oh, I use switchers, what ripple does an analog regulator produce???)
but to isolate the PS from the circuit is always a good idea in my opinion.
