#10690 - RE: Keil: Windows vs. command line
I am also a command line fan for the compilers.

Moreover, I think I'm the only man in the world (!) using a Keil cross-compiler/assembler under LINUX.

I'm a Linux (and Unix in general) fan, and I'm using this OS from years ago: I have reached a good custom IDE using a graphic environment (like KDE), a dos emulation box (dosemu program) for the compiler and a good "syntax highlighting" editor (there are a lot under Linux: I use Nirvana Editor).

For creating my own batch compilation files, I've written a utility in QuickBasic (which I named Make51) because when I started using Keil compilers there was no make utility with them.

If there's someone interested out there, take a look at the the web page
http://www.precma.com/tooltips/crosslinux.htm

Here I explain how to create a cross-IDE under Linux.
