#10787 - Charging of Ni-Cd 3.6V Battery |
Hello,
I am using a Ni-Cd 3.6V (60mAH)battery for the battery backup of ram. The switching between VCC and VBB is done through MAX 691. I want to charge the Ni-Cd Basttery. Can I do it by simply joining the +ve of the Ni-Cd Battery to the VCC through a resistance and a diode(cathode attached to VCC and anode towards the battery +ve). Will there be any problem with this. What should be the resistance value? Is there any better way of charging the Ni-Cd battery Regards, Mohit Gupta |
