#11020 - RE: Mobile Robotics |
Mr. Daxx Teryn,
The 8052 would make an excellent platform for Robotics, but it needs more such as a EEPROM, REAL TIME CLOCK, A/D CONVETER plus more devices. All of this needs to be rolled into another device which interested people could use for building robots and packaged into something like a SIMM or 40 pin dip device. There are a couple of devices on the market which do these things such as the stamp, and one made by PARALLAX inc. The only problem I see is its a big investment to roll your own and sad to say others who are doing it are not using the 8052 cpu chip. they favor PIC'S. Regards, Charles Bannister |
