Whose new boss?. The real issue in 8051 employment is that no HR person knows what to ask (and pay) for. To most HR people a computer is a computer and they end up hiring some (possibly cheap) windows guy to screw it up and when it passes the deadline they hire another windows guy to help. Then, and only then do they get specific what they want, but suffer badly from sticker shock. Once you have broken through those barriers enough times to move around by word of mouth the 8051 employment scene is excellent.
