Use ONE location in Ram to decode multiple pages - in a simple system, imagine decoding FFFF and having four banks of RAM The first bank is addressed by setting location FFFF to 0 The second bank by setting to 1 The third setting to 2 the fourth setting to 4 The decode of FFFF, and a latch are easy to design. The XA series are 8052 derivatives from Philips, they are "16 bit" 8052s, and have 20 bits (or is it 24) of address space accessed from extra SFRs (I think) Steve |
