Based on the latest U.S. distributor pricing, Triscend devices start at just US$9.00 for a single device, through distribution. Pricing for higher production volumes is even less.

The $9 price gets you a 25 MHz, clock accelerated 8052 with 8K-bytes of XDATA RAM, two DMA channels, about 3,000 gates of programmable logic, and up to 50+ PIO pins.
