#115189 - setting volatile will not make it any le Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"Ptimize" is a special, shortened form of "Optimise" - Erik has just optimised-out the initial 'O' !! ;-)
In my Pinion, a keyboard is not very well Perated by thumbs and I seem to have 10 of them :) In fact, all the assignments in your code are redundant and could be optimised-out, since you are just writing to variables that nothing else ever reads!! To prevent this sort of optimisation, you need to look up the 'volatile' keyword in your 'C' textbook... Setting volatile will not make it any less redundant. It can have nothing to do with his hardware (where volatile is usually applied) since the variablles are specified to be located anywhere by the compiler/linker. Erik |
