www.parallax.com is probably king of the hill with the stamp idea. They started making them about 1997. Studying their history (Nuts & Volts magazine) will give ideas about what it takes to compete. They have become entrenched in the robotics industry. I still think you could make something 80C51 based as good or better than and direct your sales to niche markets.
