#119350 - use ISP
Responding to: ???'s previous message
there are chips galore from Philips, Atmel, SILabs and many more that feature I(n) S(ystem) P(rogramming).

A good place to start would be the Philips P89V51RD2 where everything related to programming (FlashMagic) is free. The programming tahes place via the RS232 interface that you will need anyhow. Phytec has protoboards using these chips, and you can, of course roll your own.

Whatever you choose to do there is NO SUCH THING like a 'universal burning board' that you can make.

If you want to continue this thred specify which derivative you want to use.
