Perhaps I can clear things up a little. I developed the EdSim51 simulator over the past couple of years. I used to teach electronics in IT Sligo in Ireland and I developed the set of notes that are now to be found at edsim51.com as supplementary material for the textbook I was using.
For some time I was looking for an 8051 simulator that was suitable for teaching and learning, but I could not find one. Therefore I developed my own. My students found it very useful and I therefore decided to put it on the web to allow others to make use of it for free. While I'm no longer teaching electronics, I still work on the simulator - it's a labour of love more than anything else. And my ex-colleagues and others are using it, so that's makes it all worthwhile. I have other projects that I work on and these are all listed under NyCelt. Hope that clears things up. And I hope I have allayed your fears and you decide to give EdSim51 a try. Jim Rogers EdSim51 System Developer |
