#123385 - Oregano Core Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks for the response, Erik. Actually, I'm in the process of investigating the 8051 core from Oregano Systems.
In that core, when tmr/ctr0 is in mode 3, the logic for tmr/ctr1 (in modes 0-2) still depends on the control signals GATE1, INT1, TR1, and C/T1. I think this is incorrect, but just want to confirm my suspicions. The text you posted seems to suggest that is the case, but does not come right out and say what I believe to be true, which is: When tmr/ctr0 is in mode 3, tmr/ctr1 can operate only as a timer (ignoring C/T1), and can not be stopped and started aside from switching it to mode 3 (ignoring GATE1, INT1, and TR1). So, is my last statement true? - Scott |
