#124670 - It is unreasonable to compare Responding to: ???'s previous message |
If the aduc is having reset problems, what have you done to investigate the cause? What is happening to the power to the device? Does it stay within spec? It could be the internal brown out detector gets operated - if this is the case then there must be enough disturbance coupled into the power supply. Different manufacturers have different specifications, circuitry and fabrication methods. Some may be better than others. The first thing AD are going to ask is how you have confirmed the part is used within specification. Just because you put the recommended capacitors in the circuit doesn't get you off the hook - how about the component placement? Track placement? Type of components? How do you know the regulator is behaving? Once you can get the unit to consistantly fail, then you should be able to make measurements and locate the source of the trouble. The probalem may have always been there, but you never saw it or it was covered up by something else. I've used a aduc834 and my unit passed the CE industrial susceptance tests with no problems. |
