#12471 - RE: looking for opinions
Hi,

Steve Said

" GOOD assembler code IS difficult to write. "

I 100% agree.

There are many parameters and points of caution which the compilers take care without even having noticed by the programer.

A bad programer like Simon will always end up with a screwed assembly.

But also with HLL the going is easier than with assembler.

But also with assembler you know exactly whats happening and what you can do by seeing deeper and farther.

See, HLL and Assembler differ like,

HLL is a ready made car and you only have to drive it. The cruise is good or bad depends how good you are a driver.

Assembler is a collection of engine parts, the body and the wheels. You have to build the car before you drive it. The cruise is good or bad depends on not only how good you are a driver but also how good you have built the car.

If you know building the car and know the car, chances are that you will have a good cruise. (driving is a must)

Still it varies from person to person.

Simon
