#125992 - RD2-style
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Basically, the "programming commands" are "encoded" as intelhex-style records.

Please have a look at the "flash programming" section of following datasheets:

http://www.nxp.com/acrobat/d..._RD2_9.pdf (http://www.nxp.com/acrobat/a...461_11.pdf )
http://www.nxp.com/acrobat/d...RD2-03.pdf
http://www.nxp.com/acrobat/u...0109_2.pdf http://www.nxp.com/files/mar...20code.zip

http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resou...9c51rd2%22

The respective manufacturer's tools are FlashMagic (whose author, Andy Ayre is an active member of this Forum) and FLIP.

Sad there are not 100% compatible (even worse - there is a "fatal" incompatibility in P89C51RD2 and P89V51RD2's protocol*, leading to putting the latter to (Soft)ICE when not used carefully... :-) )

Also, have a look at Ian Bell's 8052.com homepage, under Software#1.

* just another proof of the P89V51RD2 being not-so-Philips... (see SST)
