#129883 - Chiptune |
I am very interested in chiptune music, although by modern day standards I am a bit late, this type of music still interests me. However, I'm at a loss as to which hardware I could use and if I could interface it with an 8051 or similar device. I have been looking at some Mos Technology SID type devices (8502) but it looks like there isn't really much in the way of datasheets or availability of the chip for that matter...
I know it can be easily emulated on a computer, but I'd like to have a shot at programming something useful. I also have an atmel mega128 at my disposal. Does anyone here have any input? Wikipedia has a good article on the subject matter... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chiptune |
