#13004 - RE: JTAG/IEEE1149.1 |
Thanks for the info Steven,
We've only just started looking into using the E5, when I say we, I mean Steve (Taylor) mainly, I just come into the office every now and again to find Triscend flyers and the like thoughtfully flung across my desk by my good friend (and boss) Steve! I probably shouldn't say what application we're planning to use the E5 in, needless to say that the E5's vast configurable logic capabilities will simplify things considerably. That is after all, among other things, the whole point of the E5 is it not!!!! Out of interest Steven, what is it that has bumped up the recommended memory requirements of FastChip to 192MB? There does seem to be a fair amount of number crunching going on when you use the program, which can lead to it sometimes being a little unresponsive. I should point out that we only have an evaluation copy of FastChip right now (as we are still, er, evaluating!) I guess the full version suffers from the same problem? Is there anything you suggest that might speed things up?... Other than seriously upgrading my computer (AMD K6/2 500MHz, 128MB RAM)! Matt. |
