#131101 - It will get you 'excited' when you reverse the plu Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I was thinkhing of measuring the time delay and compensating for it in the code - am I on the right track?
just verify the delay is constant (does not vary with load, firing angle, ..) and it will work. Making a zero crossing detector that fires at exact zero is a very tough job. The simple solution provided by Purshottam got me excited but after reading the link and the other comments am wary. It will get you 'excited' when you reverse the plug and touch it. It is dangerous and should ONLY be used in circuits that will be totally encapsulated and during development should be powered through a 1:1 transformer to make the unit 'float' for the sake of safety.
