There's a "turnkey" solution, complete as you'd wish, using an MC68HC705J1A. Since there's considerable table-lookup, it should be pretty easy to translate. However, I'd just use the MOT part and be done with it. I think it's on "beyond_logic.com" but can't swear to it.
