I used these when I was developing a PS/2 peripheral.

Do you need to interface to _any_ PC keyboard? If you do you will find that many will vary in subtle ways (timing especially), making it difficult to design, especially since these standards are closely guarded secrets held by the BIOS manufacturers. If you can, pick a keyboard and design around it, although there's probably no guarantee that it will stay the same either.
