My Intel datasheet tells me that ALE will be activated - besides, how else would it latch the low address? For devices with internal flash rom, the activation of ALE may only happen on external memory access like movc/movx - sometimes this is an option that can be turned on/off. Be sure to mention the exact part you're using - when you talk about a 8031, I think of the original Intel part. |
