#134293 - Picky, Picky, Picky Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Let me try again.
When the 8051 is in reset, all ports are set to 0FFh. Given the "quasi-bidirectional" nature of the 8051 ports, this is equivalent to all pins being an input. Logically, this is the only choice for port pins during reset. Any other choice would result in a port pin being an output, and that could potentially result a short between the 8051 output and an external driver. |
