It's based on 555-timers, which are not terribly precise. Moreover, changing timing involves removal and replacement of passives, while doing the same thing with a small 805x will probably require just a little coding change.
There are small in-system-programmable MCU's that might offer an easy path which he can solder up only once, yet have the ability to vary the sequence and timing without further physical modification. Don't you think that's going to be easier than rewiring? RE |
