I know this is not an answer to you question, but could you explain why you want your PC to think it's connected to the Internet when it's really connected to a microcontroller? I can see wanting to have the microcontroller connect to the Internet with PPP over a modem connection, but why are you creating firmware to fool the PC into thinking it's connected to the Internet? Regards, Craig Steiner First I want to learn about the technologies and actually be able to USE them without constantly hogginy my phone line. In other words, I am on dial-up right now. If I can figure out how to plug in my homemade radio transceiver to my micro and crank it to a station emitting digital data, then I just might be able to gain wireless internet access. Maybe another time I want to use the same technology to control various devices in my home. Next thing you know, someone on the other end might end up controlling my room light! lol |
