#137838 - Check commercial industrial SMPS Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I don't know if you have precluded a commercial design.
According to my colleagues, many industrial switch mode power supplies (SMPS) will work on DC inputs. In principle, all rectify AC to DC anyway, but most are only specified to 85AC which is about 120VDC (factor of 1.414). However there are some that are specified down to 100VDC. I am told that you should check out OMRON and Siemens. We make for Weidmuller (available worldwide) the 9916250024 which IS rated for 100VDC input, but is a bit of an overkill for you at 8.5 Amps. -Aubrey |
