#138172 - code protection Responding to: ???'s previous message |
if the lock bits are on then don't waste your time trying to read the device. it will always read 00000 for that is the purpose of code protection.
Dont you think that the manufacturer made a counter for a reason. Something like it works for certain number of times then it should be thrown away. They must have a "medical" reason for it. Sometimes the price of a new device is cheaper than spare parts to fix the device and maybe this is the case with this product and so the manufacturer made it disposable. Another point which is it is much easier to design a product from scratch than reverse engineer it. If you can buy spare parts for the machine, doesn't the manufacturer sell a programmed microcontroller? surely the counter should be reset when you first buy it. Mahmood |
