The area around a fixed piece of equipment is referred to as "Working Space", and is a minimum of 3 feet out, and 6.5 feet tall (unless the operator is sitting, in which case he must have a minimum of 2 feet above his head).
Additionally, some city codes require a painted line on the floor to show the area clearly, so that people can see where NOT to walk... Hope this helps, Jan... |
