#141009 - Choice of Tools Responding to: ???'s previous message |
There a 4 factors in any project
Quality - Cost - Time and Experience. If you effect one factor the other factors are effected. If you have little experience and not much money then quality and time will be affected. I like tinkering with low cost / free / open source tools as the cost is low.... and I don't have a time limit to complete my projects. But often the header files and C linker startup code is not provided and you have to do this yourself. Keil demo C51 software LPC900 tool set - software - Complier, debugger and simulator that comes with MCB900 is a good choice... but check the limitation options.... You can get up an running quickly for a small outlay (including dev board). You can download Keil C51 here OR it comes with the MCB900 http://www.keil.com/product/devproc.asp?t=c51&h=1 C51 Demo version limitations are here http://www.keil.com/demo/limits.asp Joe |
