#141277 - Hair splitting definations!
Responding to: ???'s previous message
I am not canvassing for anybody but this programmer checks
signature verification of manufacturer and alters algorithm
according to that.
I have just pointed out that such programer exists and I am
using that for ATMEL chips. In India 95% people use ATMEL chips and rest others.
You can check with manufacturer if it programs Phillips
chips properly or destroys them.
Fortunately I work mostly with 89Cx051 chips and I think
there is no corresponding NXP chip. I have other serial programmer homemade from diagram on first site I mentioned.
It is also serial type and works very nice.
There is no end to hair splitting with 89C51 as everybody
might want to prefix or suffix some letters. It is well known
that most programmers are parallel port type which are derived
from Willhems universal programmer.
So having serial programmer is nice thing except that now
they have banished COM port from PC in new desktops/notebooks
but can still work with USB > COM adaptors.
