what I get out of your ramble is:
"If someone install the 232 to 485 converter wrong, the program hangs. when the converter, then, is inserted correctly a restart is needed. I do not want a restart to be needed in that case" if that is the case, the logical solution is: make the 485 connector and the 232 connector different. Erik |
