#142406 - Cannot get the MSC1211Y5 to program |
Hello,
I have made a board with an MSC1211Y5 chip (the circuitry as far as the RST and PRG LD, Serial port are similar to those of EVM's). I have tested the software with the EVM and seems to work. I use TI downloader to download the code and the program seems to download fine (at least I don't get any error message). But the program does not run. I am not sure what I am missing or doing wrong. Does anyone has a suggestion? A few more observations: - I have a sin wave oscilating at the PSEN output (f=5 MHz). - At one point (the very first time) I was able to see an output on the Vref (which the program had set to 2.5) but after future downloads I cannot see anything on that pin -- so I am feeling the program is either not executing or it's not reprogramming any more (although the download doesn't give any errors). I really appreciate any thoughts and suggestions for debugging. I don't know where else to look. thanks, vida |
