... developed some sort of leak or what, so it behaved like a low-pass filter plus some loss - VCC was a straight line different from ground, so you would not be alarmed if you didn't take a close look at the dial next to the vertical resolution button, (this was an old analog scope, no displayed values on the screen).
Thinking about it, it was most probably some fault on the divider's compensation circuit or what. Didn't investigate... It was exactly the sines on where nice rectangular signals were previously which alerted me that something is not OK. It was a luck I looked at a digital signal, because we were actually debugging the analog part of the box. JW |
