#143320 - long not sufficient ? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The reason I am using floating point is that the range of my input data is about 10 orders of magnitude.
Long ints hold 9.6 order of magnitude, and there are very efficient algorithms for calculating the logarithm of an integer (efficient enough that even a '51 can handle them easily). |
