I'd say, if Chico is a student with some time on hand and some friends to ask in case of need, he should try both. Nowadays, the investment to trying is mainly time and a relatively small amount of money, so there is no risk of getting "locked", and it's worth having more tools in one's toolbox. The AVRs are not THAT different from the '51, than, say, PICs from the rest of the world. JW |
