Can anyone suggest a replacement for the Intel P80C51FA That is a custom MASKED-ROM-based part, to which you will need complete code listings before you can replace it. Many modern flash-based MCU's can replace it, but they won't do what you want unless you have complete information about the ROM content. Since it is a customed part, you'd not have been able to buy it from Intel back when the P80C51FA was current. The number looks more like a Philips part number, though it probably has an Intel copyright label. IIRC, Intel preceded its part numbers with an 'i'. that can be purchased? We need it in the 40 pin dip package and be drop-in compatible. We were recently told that the Intel P80C51FA is obsolete with no replacement and the last time buy was March 2007.
Thank you for your assistance... Ross I hate to be the bearer of such bad tidings, but the fact that this is a ROM-based part will probably prevent you from obtaining the component unless you have a license from the original manufacturer of the device in which the part you cite appears. RE |
