Hi Andy and others,
Hmm...I think I'm after just a cheapo CMOS camera module, but with some sort of serial or parallel output. Suitable for a microcontroller in my case means something that can capture an image, and then hang onto it while short bursts are retrieved and squirted off as TCP/IP packets. The board that I'm looking at doesn't have much RAM to buffer an image. Yep, @WEB was the one I saw previously. Crumbs! I hadn't realised it was quite so expensive. I'm sure that if the right camera module were available, that an inexpensive 8052 TCP/IP webcam might be realised. It might make a fun project for everyone, don't you think? |
