#146987 - The hunt is on...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Murray doesn't know how to quote.

According to the Atmel @WEB product brochure the one they used is an OmniVision OV7620. Hmm, not listed on their current website. Seems to be mounted on a pcb with suspiciously RAM-like looking chips.

Yep. There are lots of cheapy CMOS cameras with analog outputs. I read somewhere last night that they also do make serial and parallel output models, but I don't know who makes them, and I'm betting they don't work the way I'd like. Maybe some serial frame buffer RAM is the answer?

We'll come up with something. I'm sure with all the camera equipped mobile phones out there that someone makes a suitable camera module.
