Did you verify that the 7407 requires a low enough input current to do the job? I think not! It requires 40 uA at a minimum to drive its input.
You might find a 74C07 somewhere ... or put two 'HC04's in series, or use an HC08 or HC32 as someone else recommended earlier ... RE |
